Co-founded in 2013 by Dr. Kristy Kyle (DVM) and Dr. Brenda Flores (DVM), the hospital specializes in small animal veterinary medicine. Named by USA Today as one of America's Best Veterinary Hospitals, and nominated for the 2025 AAHA Practice of the Year Award. Dr. Flores is a native Houstonian and 2007 Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate; B.S. Chemistry from Henderson State University (swimming & cross-country scholarship); member of AVMA, AAFP, TAVP, TVMA, HCVMA, and AAHA; interests: internal medicine, dentistry, behavioral medicine, sports medicine, and pain management; triathlete and marathon runner. Dr. Kyle (DVM & Co-Owner) founded the hospital with a background in biology and philosophy; interests include companion animal wellness and culture-driven excellence. The full veterinary team includes: Dr. Chivonne Ali (DVM — University of the West Indies, Trinidad; pursuing veterinary acupuncture certification), Dr. Kayleigh Foster (DVM — Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, St. Kitts; clinical rotation LSU; interests: behavior, infectious disease, hospice, feline), Dr. Jennifer Diehl (DVM — LSU School of Veterinary Medicine; Veterinary Acupuncture Certification, Chi Institute; interests: internal medicine, lasting client relationships), Dr. Mallory Preston (DVM — Texas A&M 2019; B.S. Zoology/Evolutionary Biology, Auburn University; exotic and wildlife rehab background), Dr. Kate Kirby (DVM — Texas Tech undergrad; with BCVH since 2016), and Yvette Carnot (CVPM, Practice Manager).
