Dr. Simonson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2003. She practiced in Arizona for 15 years in the small animal hospital setting, performing surgery, preventive care, acupuncture, PBM therapy, and dentistry. Since 2018, she has transitioned to an in-home mobile model focusing on palliative care, hospice, pain management, acupuncture, laser therapy, and in-home euthanasia. She became certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture (cVA) in 2011, credentialed in Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine in 2013, and received her cattle artificial insemination certification from Bovine Elite and Texas A&M University in 2023. She co-published an article in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association in 2020 and authored pet owner articles for PetMD in 2021 and 2022.
