Founded and operated by Rob Stovall and family — passionate cat lovers and owners — Griffin Rock was created to offer a premium boarding experience specifically designed for cats, in response to the lack of quality cat boarding options in the area. Opened in March 2023, the retreat is associated with the local nonprofit A Voice for All Paws and is situated near the affiliated Whiskers and Soda Cat Cafe. Each cat or cat family gets its own private, self-contained room with filtered air, room to run and climb, ramps and toys, a private TV with action videos, and an interactive live webcam/audio device so parents can check in remotely at any time. Add-on services include grooming, personal human playtime interaction, emergency medical care coordination, and a pick-up/drop-off service. All cats must have current vaccinations valid at least 14 days prior to boarding. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required for advanced bookings. Cancellation requires minimum 48-hour notice (72 hours for holidays). The facility is not a veterinary clinic but can coordinate emergency vet care if needed.
