The clinic is led by Clinical Director Dr. Wong Hoong Kien (BVSc, University of Melbourne; MRCVS; Honorary Clinical Partner, Murdoch University), a highly experienced surgeon with training in oncology, orthopaedics, minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, upper airway surgery, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Wong completed an exchange at the Colorado State University Flint Animal Cancer Center (FACC) and has worked in specialty practices in the USA. He is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS), Member of the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association, Member of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society, and a Fear Free® Certified Professional. Dr. Wong has been featured on National Geographic Wild (Animal ER, Season 1 Episodes 2 & 3) and has published internationally in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA) and Veterinary and Comparative Orthopaedics and Traumatology (VCOT). The team also includes Dr. Judith, Dr. Jo-Anne, Dr. Lydia Choo, and Dr. Pamela (Veterinary Surgeons), supported by experienced veterinary nurses Jio Jyn, Alex, and Tiffany, and receptionist Felen. Hope Veterinary Care is one of only 7 clinics in Singapore certified as an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic (Silver 2024), and the entire team is Fear Free® certified. Services include soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery (fractures, hip dislocation, limb deformity), minimally invasive/keyhole surgery (Karl Storz endoscopes), upper airway surgery (BOAS), cancer treatment (curative to palliative, oral and injectable chemotherapy), health checks and vaccinations, diagnostic imaging (digital X-rays, ultrasound), in-house laboratory (blood count, biochemistry, microscopy, urine and faecal analysis), hospitalisation (separate dog and cat wards), dental scaling, sterilisation, tonometry, DNA swab testing, allergy blood testing, geriatric clinics, blood transfusion, regenerative medicine (stem cells, PRP joint injections), telemedicine/online consult, and same-day appointments.
