Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic was first opened in January 1990 in Bearsden by Wendy McGrandles, a Glasgow graduate who had gained experience across various practices before starting the clinic. By 1995 the practice had grown enough to need another full-time vet, and in 1996 it moved into extended premises in Baljaffray, before relocating in June 2007 to much larger, purpose-designed premises double the size of the original. In 1997 the clinic opened a branch surgery in Dumbarton, largely staffed by the same team to ensure continuity of care. RCVS accredited, Glenbrae offers both conventional and holistic veterinary care — including acupuncture, laser therapy and physiotherapy alongside routine treatment — for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, exotic pets and wildlife, including specialist experience with rabbits. Services include dentistry, microchipping, neutering, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and a dedicated weight management clinic. The practice has on-site parking and disabled access, and is highly rated by long-standing clients (around 4.8 out of 5 across Google and Facebook reviews) for its friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate team.
