Dr. Ajay Singh is an alumnus of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner, having completed his BVSc & AH in 1987 and his MVSc as a gold medallist with a national scholarship from ICAR. He served for 25 years in the Rajasthan Animal Husbandry Department at Government Veterinary Polyclinic, Paanchbatti, Jaipur, and is the official veterinarian for the pets of the Governor and Chief Minister of Rajasthan. A practising vet since 1991, he is a qualified National Eligibility Test holder (ICAR-ASRB) and a registered member of the Rajasthan Veterinary Council.
