Animal Quarantine and Certification Service (AQCS) Mumbai is a central government facility under the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India. Established as part of India's national quarantine network (since the Fourth Five Year Plan, 1969-70), the Mumbai station at Kopar Khairane is one of the country's six AQCS centers. The center provides government-mandated health certification and NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the import and export of pets, livestock, and animal products. It is the only authorized facility in Maharashtra for state veterinary approval required to move animals internationally. The center handles microchip verification, health examinations, vaccination checks, sampling, and 30-day quarantine monitoring.
